Overnight grants! 
The FedEx Social Responsibility grants fund a wide range of nonprofits including those that improve the safety of children.

 

MADD & CARMAX Funding Opportunity

Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the CarMax Foundation will make mini-grants of up to $500 to support implementation of evidence-based prevention programs designed to address college drinking problems, both on campus and in surrounding communities.
The
UMADD mini-grants will be awarded to projects that seek to change environmental factors (such as laws, policies, and enforcement) or student populations. Priority will go the programs that incorporate the recommendations on the UMADD website and partner with multiple groups.
No upfront money will be awarded; rather, applicants can request reimbursement for expenses associated with projects. Eligible applicants include UMADD student groups, other student groups, individual students, campus law enforcement, campus/community partnerships, and faculty. UMADD-related projects will receive priority.

Provides grants through three foundations.  The Ralphs/Food4Less Foundation makes grants to:  improve the well-being of youth through involvement in educational and recreational programs; provide funding for health and hunger-related programs; support activities that expand cultural awareness and appreciation of the arts; strengthen neighborhoods by investing in community-based projects; and assist communities in the aftermath of local disasters.  The Fred Meyer Foundation works in the areas of youth development and hunger relief.  The Kroger Company Foundation makes grants to support education and youth; feed the hungry; and assist local arts and civic organizations.  It relies on its operating units to recommend funding directions, and gives each division an annual contributions budget. The grants are ongoing. Pay It Forward Foundation --
Pay It Forward Mini-Grants

Application Deadlines: Application deadlines are January 15,
April 15, and October 15 of each year.

Description: Pay It Forward Mini-Grants are designed to fund one-time-only service-oriented projects identified by youth as activities they would like to perform to benefit their school, neighborhood, or greater community. Projects must contain a "pay it forward" focus -- that is, they must be based on the concept of one person doing a favor for others, who in turn do favors for others, with the results
growing exponentially -- to be considered in the grant-making process.
Funding Amount: Mini-grants of up to $500 are available for projects on a one-time-only basis.

Who May Apply: Schools, churches, and community youth groups (with an adult sponsor) may apply for funding. Youths or adults may complete  the application. Groups whose members
are all over the age of 18 must include work with youth under the age of 18 as part of their projects.

The Allstate Foundation

Accepts applications for its non-profit organization grants that address one of three focus areas: safe and vital communities; economic empowerment; tolerance, and inclusion and diversity.   The award amounts vary.  Local education agencies and schools are eligible to apply.
